ITHACA, N.Y. - Led by six first-team selections the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference placed eight student-athletes on the 2009 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District football team.
Earning first-team honors were Birmingham-Southern College's Walter Arrington, DePauw University's Alex Fitch, Millsaps College's Oliver Galicki and Sam Herman, Rhodes College's Andy Boucher and Trinity University's Daniel South.
Ryan Creel of Birmingham-Southern and Spud Dick of DePauw were each tabbed second team selections.
