STERLING, Va. - First Team selections senior
quarterback and three-time SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year Juan
Joseph and junior offensive lineman John Shivers - both of Millsaps
College - lead a list of 11 SCAC student-athletes selected to
the 2008 D3football.com All-South Region Team.
Counting Joseph and Shivers, Millsaps had five players make the
team, including senior defensive back Marcus Harris (Second Team),
senior defensive end Denarold Anderson (Third Team) and junior
punter William Lawrimore (Third Team).
Rhodes College placed SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year, senior
linebacker Mason Mosby on the Second Team, and senior linebacker
Desmond Hendricks on Third Team.
Centre College (Senior linebacker Adam Hay - Second Team), DePauw
University (Sophomore wide receiver Alex Koors - Third Team),
Sewanee-University of the South (Sophomore
cornerback Chalankis Brown - Third Team) and Trinity
University (Senior offensive lineman Wade Lytal - Second
Team) all placed one player each on the D3football.com All-South
Region Team.
