JEFFREY WILLIAMS OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, February 24 through Sunday, March 1.
Williams led the Mountaineers to a 2-2 week in Tucson, AZ. Williams went 6 for 13 with a double, a grand salm homerun, and seven RBIs over the weekend. In the Mountaineers 12-1 win over Presentation, Willliams had a four RBI perfomance.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jack Vonderhaar of Trinity hit .500 (5-10) with four runs scored and two RBI as #2 Trinity went 1-2 in a weekend series against #6 Babson. Junior Seth Sparks of Southwestern hit .308 in 13 at-bats last week, including a two-RBI performance in the Pirates’ 4-1 win over Millikin. In the Pirates 6-5 win over Concordia Sparks had a 2-for-5 performance with a run scored. Senior Tyler Cauley of Texas Lutheran hit .455 over a four-game series with Pacific Lutheran. Cauley led the Bulldogs in their vicotry on Friday with a three-run homerun.
