Brett Taff of Austin College, a senior short stop from Amarillo, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, February 25 through Sunday, March 3.
Taff led the Roos’ to a 2-2 record last week, splitting twin-bills against Dallas Christian and Arlington Baptist. For the week, Taft batted.582 going 7-for-12 at the plate with four stolen bases, three RBI and three extra base hits. In the win over Dallas Christian, Taft went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two stolen bases.
Other Outstanding Performances:
Senior outfielder Jordan Stickler of Dallas led the Crusaders to a series sweep over Dallas Christian going 5-for-9 at the plate with three RBI and two stolen bases. Trinity junior outfielder Mason Meredith totalled five hits, two runs and two RBI in the Tigers’ weekend series with Babson. Junior rightfielder Tyler Cauley of Texas Lutheran added two RBI and a home run in two games last week for the Bulldogs.
