Nick Gardoni of Texas Lutheran University, a infielder from Salinas, Calif., has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, February 11 through Sunday, February 17.
Gardoni posted a .500 batting average last week, recording five hits, four RBI and a home run in the Bulldogs’ three game series with Hardin-Simmons. On Friday, Gardoni went three-for-four at the plate including a two-run homer to add to the TLU lead. The next day, the junior notched two RBI.
Other Outstanding Performances:
Trinity sophomore infielder Jack Wisniewski led Trinity to a pair of wins against Birmingham-Southwern with a .400 batting average, four runs scored and an RBI. Junior catcher Cody Goggins of Austin College strung together three hits in four at bats while tallying three runs and four RBI against Louisiana College, on Friday. During Southwestern’s weekend series with Sul Ross St., sophomore outfielder Hayden Craig posted a .538 batting average, totaling seven hits, six runs and three RBI.
