TANNER BARRON
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior right-hander from
Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball
Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 16 through
Sunday, April 22.
Barron led the Tigers to two of the team’s
three wins, picking up victories against both Schreiner and Austin
College over the week.
Barron pitched six shutout innings to finish off the regular season on Sunday afternoon, giving up just six hits and striking out three batters. Barron was 2-0 for the week, and did not allow an earned run in 11 innings of work. He allowed two unearned runs and 11 total hits for the week, recording 11 strikeouts.
For the season, Barron is now 3-0 with an ERA of just 3.16 in 10 appearances. Barron has pitched 31.1 innings, striking out 36 batters, and allowing just 11 earned runs.
