  • TLU and Trinity have met every year in the conference tournament since the Bulldogs joined the SCAC in 2014. TLU has won the last two meetings after dropping the first five.
  • Hickey improved to 6-1 with the victory. Cater slipped to 7-3 with the loss.
  • Since the tournament went to a four-team format in 2014, the team that has won Game 3 to advance to the championship round has won four of the last five championships.
  • The two combined runs scored makes Saturday's contest the lowest-scoring SCAC tournament game since Southwestern blanked Millsaps College, 1-0, at the 2002 event. It is the third-lowest scoring game all-time.
