Dallas' Wallace Named to D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Dallas sophomore relief pitcher Jamie Wallace from Crockett, Texas was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for games played between Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31 after helping lead the Crusaders to a SCAC win against No. 5 Texas Lutheran last Sunday.

Wallace earned the win with three shutout innings of relief in a 4-3, 12-inning upset against TLU last Sunday. Wallace entered the extra-inning contest after classmate Andrew Magness had hurled nine innings in his best career start.

The sophomore kept things rolling on the mound for the left-handed duo, as he did not allow a hit and struck out three. He improved to 4-2 on the season and delivered his third scoreless outing this season – all at home.

Wallace is the first Crusader since Nathan Patton hit .556 with two home runs, five RBI and scored four runs in a single week last year to earn national team of the week honors.

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eighth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. Wallace marks the fourth Team of the Week honor for the SCAC in 2019, joining Preston Ludwick of Centenary, John Tucker of Trinity and Austin Smith of Southwestern.
