LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The D3baseball.com Team of the Week was released Monday evening and Texas Lutheran University outfielder Riley Schaefer was recognized.
Schaefer, a senior from Thorndale, Texas, hit .500 (7-for-14) over a three-game non-conference sweep of Texas-Dallas.
In the Bulldogs' 15-5 win Saturday, he homered three times, tying school and SCAC single-game records, finishing one total base shy of Drew Farr's school-record (15) for total bases in a game, but setting a new SCAC record for total bases with 14.
For the week, Schaefer scored six total runs and drove in five.
