Ray, Wolf Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Junior catcher Trenton Ray of Texas Lutheran University and senior outfielder Jeremy Wolf of Trinity University have been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. 

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fifth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors and/or conference offices. This is the sixth Team of the Week of the 2016 season.

Ray hit .625 for the week (5-for-8) and blasted a pair of home runs, including a solo shot Sunday that started a seven-run, seventh-inning rally against Austin. Ray scored three runs and had two doubles and two homers. He posted a slugging percentage of 1.625 for the week.

Wolf led the second-ranked Tiger baseball team to a 4-0 record last week. Wolf hit .545 (6-for-11) overall last week. He finished with five extra-base hits in the four games, cracking four doubles and a home run for a 1.182 slugging percentage. Wolf added seven runs and five RBI. In addition to his average, Wolf also drew six walks for an on-base percentage of .706 for the week.
