Tigers Hold in D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Trinity University's baseball team held on to the fourth spot in this week's D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll.

The D3baseball.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Full members of NCAA Division III are eligible.

The Tigers had a 3-1 week to improve their overall record to a 12-3 mark. Trinity's lone loss came at the hands of Texas Lutheran University in game one of a weekend set. Trinity went on to win the final two games with 2-1 and 11-4 finals.

Trinity's offense continues to be led by senior infielder Connor Moore who improved his batting average to .413 and posts a .651 slugging percentage, both league bests. Moore is also tied for first in the conference with 26 hits. Senior outfielder Jeremy Wolf is currently second in the SCAC for slugging percentage (.635) and leads the league in RBI (19). 

Junior right hander Troy Nelson leads the league in ERA (1.59), opposing average (.173) and strikeouts (30). 

Trinity has a full slate of home competition this week including games against Our Lady of the Lake University, Baldwin Wallace and DeSales before a weekend set against Southwestern University.
