Texas Lutheran's Frick Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Sophomore catcher Austin Frick of Texas Luthearn University was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week following an excellent performance in a dominating sweep over the Schreiner University Mountaineers on the road.

Aleman dominated on the mound against Trinity this past weekend en rout to a series win over the 13th-ranked Trinity Tigers at home.
 
Frick, a sophomore out of Katy, Texas, played in two of TLU's three road games against Schreiner over the weekend, helping the Bulldogs to a dominant sweep of the Mountaineers. The Bulldogs have now won seven SCAC games in a row as they took over first place in the SCAC after this past weekend.
 
The sophomore finished those games 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. He cranked out a double and a triple in those four at bats.
 
Frick flashed some pop in the first game of the series, going 2-for-2 with a double, a triple and two RBI. He finished the weekend with a 1.500 slugging percentage.

The Bulldogs excellent play as of late landed them at No. 29 in the latest ABCA poll.

Frick becomes the fifth SCAC player to earn Team of the Week honors. Teammates Justin Law and Aaron Aleman, Trinity's Mike Walker, and Dallas' Luciano Villanueva all earned spots on the team earlier in the season.
