Trinity Remains Nationally Ranked; Texas Lutheran Enters ABCA Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Trinity University baseball team fell two spots to No. 15 in the latest ABCA polls and fell three spots to No. 22 in the latest D3baseball.com poll. Meanwhile, Texas Lutheran University enters the ABCA polls, ranked No. 29 in the nation. FULL ABCA RANKINGS l FULL D3BASEBALL.COM RANKINGS

The Tigers went 2-1 this past weekend, defeating Mary Hardin-Baylor, 12-6, and No. 14/19 Concordia (TX), 11-3. Their lone loss came in a second contest to the Tornadoes, 8-3. Trinity will return to SCAC action this upcoming weekend as they hit the road for a three game series against the University of Dallas. Trinity is currnetly 19-9 and 4-5 in SCAC play.

The Bulldogs have won seven SCAC games in a row after a dominating sweep over Schreiner, 16-1, 15-5, and 14-0, and are currently tied for first in the SCAC standings with Centenary. Texas Lutheran has a huge series coming up with third place Southwestern, as they host the Pirates in a three game series this weekend. They will take on Mary Hardin-Baylor in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday. Texas Lutheran sits at 21-9 and 10-2 in SCAC play.
