Trinity Remains Sixth in ABCA Poll; Falls One Spot to 13th in D3baseball Polls

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Trinity University baseball team remains No. 6 in the nation in the recent ABCA poll and drops one spot to No. 13 in the latest D3baseball.com rankings. FULL ABCA RANKINGS l FULL D3BASEBALL.COM RANKINGS

When the rankings were released, the Tigers were listed as 15-5 following a split with Texas Lutheran University that was pushed back to Sunday due to inclement weather. The Bulldogs took game one, 6-0, but the Tigers would follow that up with a 12-2 win in seven innings.

However, Texas Lutheran would take the series, earning a 10-2 win on Monday. Trinity would bounce back with a dominant 19-4 victory over Hardin-Simmons.

The Southwestern University Pirates also received votes in the latest poll, earning seven votes in the ABCA poll and one vote in D3baseball after sweeping the University of Dallas to open conference play.

Trinity will prepare to take on the Pirates this upcoming weekend as the two teams square off in a three game series beginning Friday.
