MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Trinity University baseball team dropped to No. 8 in the nation in the latest ABCA poll and has fallen to No. 11 in the D3baseball.com poll.
The Tigers (21-6), who have lost five of their last six games after posting a 16-game winning sreak, had a tough week. Trinity lost a non-conference game on Tuesday to No. 11/12 Concordia (TX), 5-1, before dropping three straight to former SCAC foe Hendrix College over the weekend. It was the first time the Tigers have been on the wrong end of a three-game series sweep since April of 2007.
Trinity will stay on the road as they take on Hardin-Simmons on Tuesday in Abilene and follow that up with a road weekend series in Kerrville, Texas against Schreiner University.
