MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Trinity University baseball has moved to No. 1 in the nation for the first time since April 3rd, 2012 in the latest D3baseball.com poll. Trinity also check in at No. 2 in the first American Baseball Coaches Association of the season.
Trinity was named the No. 1 team in the nation for the
first time in school history on March 20th and held onto that
ranking for three weeks before falling to No. 4 on April 10th.
Before that, the SCAC has not seen a No. 1 ranking since Millsaps
earned it in April of 2009.
The Tigers (18-1) continue to roll as they earned another
sweep this past weekend, taking down Southwestern University in
three games.
Trinity continues with a weekday game against Mary
Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday, a team that is receiving votes in the
latest D3baseball.com polls, followed by a home conference weekend
series against the University of Dallas.
