Trinity's Pappas Joins SCAC 200-Career Hit Club

KERRVILLE, Texas - Trinity University senior outfielder Nick Pappas became the 35th player in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference history to join the 200-career hits club thanks to his 8 for 9 performance in the Tiger's double-header sweep of Schreiner yesterday.

Pappas becomes the second player in the SCAC to join the 200 hit club this year as Hendrix College's Clark Sims joined the club on Sunday.

Pappas finished the day batting .889 with three RBI, five runs scored, two doubles and a triple in the Tigers' two wins. For the season, Pappas is hitting .366 (49-134) with five homeruns, 44 RBI and 35 runs scored.

Pappas becomes the ninth player in school history to join the SCAC 200-career hit club (since 1992) and the first since Kevin Jackson and Kyle Felix joined the club last season. He also becomes the fourth Trinity player since 2010 to join the 200-career hit club.
