JACKSON, Miss. - With a 6-3 win over cross town rival Belhaven, Millsaps College head baseball coach Jim Page earned his 600th career victory. With the win, Page becomes just the second coach in SCAC history with 600 or more career wins. Box Score
Southwestern University's Jim Mallon is the only other coach in league history with 600 plus wins. Mallon, who passed away earlier this year, finished his career with an SCAC best 1,197 career wins.
Page became the 20th active NCAA Division III coach and 36th overall with 600 or more career wins.
Page also became the third Division III coach in 2012 to join the 600 win club. Earlier this season, Bridgewater (Va.) College's Curt Kendall (617) and Wartburg College's Joel Holst (601) became the 18th and 19th active coaches, respectively, to reach the 600 career win plateau.
