LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After a four-for-four
conference championship performance this winter, Trinity University
has widened its lead as the program attempts to repeat as Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) President's Trophy
champions.
Over a two weekend stretch, the Tigers picked up winter
championships in men's and women's swimming & diving as well as
men's and women's basketball to continue its dominance during the
2012-13 academic year. Added to the five conference titles
that the program won this fall, Trinity is now 9-for-10 in SCAC
championships this year. The only sport they didn't win -
women's volleyball - the Tigers earned a second-place finish.
Having accumulated 255 team points, Trinity currently owns a
commanding 90-point lead over second-place Colorado College (165
points) and a 100-point lead over third-place Southwestern
University (155 points).
