LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference names the Colorado College Tigers as the new winners of the #SCACTrending competition.
After moving up to third place last week with 146 points, the Tigers earned a record 634 points this week. The Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs who have remained at the top for multiple weeks came in second this week, tying with the Austin College ‘Roos with 270 points.
The University of Dallas earned 142 points this week, but fell to the fourth spot on the chart. After a slow week for Southwestern University and Trinity University, both teams moved up a couple spots, going from seventh and eighth to fifth and sixth, respectively.
Points are tallied by hashtag usage on Twitter and Instagram, with one point awarded for every time the school's designated hashtag is used in a tweet and two points each time it is used in an Instagram picture.
Each week, the winning school will select one or more student-athletes to take over the SCAC Instagram account for the following weekend.
