LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announces Texas Lutheran University as the winner of #SCACTrending for the week beginning December 8 through December 14.
Despite having no athletic events, the Bulldogs were able to earn their eighth win of the year, accumulating 87 points. The University of Dallas and Colorado College each came in at 84 points, while Austin College rounded out the top four with 39.
Schreiner University and Centenary College each tallied 25 points this week to tie for fifth, while Trinity University came in at seventh with 21 and Southwestern University was eighth with 14.
This is the last SCAC Trending result before the new year. The next release will be posted Tuesday, January 6 and will include point totals from December 15 through January 4.
The points for SCAC Trending are tallied by the usage of a school specific hashtag on Twitter and Instagram. For every post containing the hashtag on Twitter, the team will earn one point. Each post on Instagram is worth two points.
The winner of the competition each week will select one or more student-athletes to take over the SCAC Instagram account for the following weekend.
