LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs dominated the #SCACTrending competition this week, earning 326 points to defeat the competition.
The Bulldogs used momentum from a close football game with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the first round of the NCAA tournament to drum up action on social media. This is the Bulldogs seventh win.
The University of Dallas remained in the second spot for the third week in a row, earning 154 points. Colorado College jumped back into the top three spots this week, accumulating 147 points for third place.
After falling towards the bottom for a couple weeks, Schreiner University continues to move up the chart, jumping one spot this week from fifth to fourth with 73 points.
On the bottom half of the results, Trinity University finished fifth with 66 points, following by Austin College (59), Southwestern University (51) and Centenary College (23).
Points are tallied based on the usage of school-specific hashtags. For every time a hashtag is used on Twitter, one point will be awarded, while two points will be awarded for every instance on Instagram.
The winning school will select one or more student-athletes to take over the @scac_sports Instagram account from the following Thursday through Sunday.
