LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has joined the social media platform Snapchat in preparation for the upcoming winter sports' championships.
Snapchat is a picture messaging application that allows users to send photos or videos to a controlled list of recipients. These photos and videos can be viewed for 24 hours once posted onto a Snapchat "story."
This platform will give the SCAC the ability to provide short videos throughout events within seconds. Videos will be used to record exciting events and results during the upcoming swimming & diving (Feb. 11-14) and basketball (Feb. 27-Mar. 1) championships.
The username for the account is "SCACSports" and can be added by
anyone with the Snapchat application and a registered account.
