LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference office announced today that institutions are permitted to create and facilitate their own spectator policies for all non-tournament outdoor athletic events (conference and non-conference alike) specific to their ability to safely accommodate visitors on their campus in the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic. This adjusted policy will go into effect for all outdoor events beginning on Friday, March 26.
The league’s current policy related to all indoor events remains in effect.
No spectators of visiting teams will be permitted to attend any athletic event (conference or non-conference).
Conference tournament attendance policies will be announced at a later date.
Those interested in a particular institution’s process should contact the applicable athletic department or visit each of the conference members' athletics websites.
