
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Trinity University posted a league-best 18th place finish in the final 2013-14 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. Complete NACDA Release
Trinity amassed 569.5 points in the standings, based on
NCAA postseason competition, while Colorado College totaled 176.0
points to place second among SCAC schools - 111th overall.
Southwestern University finished with 116.0 points for a 162nd
place finish. Newcomers Texas Lutheran and Schreiner made their
mark in the standings. The Bulldogs finished with 109.5 points for
a 168th finish while the Mountaineers finished 175th with 100.0
points.
The 18th-place finish is the highest for any SCAC institution
since Trinity finished 13th in the Directors' Cup standings in
2007-08.
Williams College reclaimed the Learfield Sports Directors’
Cup title, finishing with 1225.25 points, and has now captured 17
of 19 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup titles. The
Directors' Cup program is administered by the National Association
of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
The 2013-14 athletics season marks the sixth year that
