Colorado College won the first-ever Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's lacrosse championship with a 20-2 victory over Hendrix College on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers won the title with a 4-0 conference record, one game ahead of Birmingham-Southern College. CC finished the regular season with a 10-2 overall mark and will wait until next Sunday to learn if it receives an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Colorado College scored three times during the opening 55 seconds and led 8-0 before Ben Nelson put the Warriors on the board with 1:37 remaining in the first quarter.

CC won 21 of 26 faceoffs and held a 38-9 advantage in ground balls.
