Box Score The Colorado College men's soccer team dominated from start to finish Friday afternoon as the Tigers defeated George Fox University 5-1 at Washburn Field.
CC took an early 1-0 lead less than four minutes into the contest as its two captains connected for the score. Senior

Max Grossenbacher and slid the ball past GFU goalie Murray Noble. The Tigers scored twice more in the first stanza as senior
Stuart Beezley tallied his second of the season off an assist from
Christian Wulff in the 31
st minute and fellow senior
Hunter Martinez scored his first of the campaign with a highlight-reel goal in the 37
th minute.
Martinez took a pass from junior
Soren Frykholm and weaved through the Bruin defense, finally finding himself in front of the net with his back to the goal. Somehow, Martinez was able to knock the ball into the net with his heel while still facing the middle of the field.
"Hunter's goal was really nice," said Colorado College head coach
Horst Richardson. "It is good to see him back in the lineup after his injury and hopefully this goal will speed up his recovery process."
Junior
Seth Newby scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-0 in the 50
th minute as Wulff posted his second assist of the game with a nice high pass into the box that Newby collected and fired past Noble from 12 yards.
GFU got on the board when Sean Owens headed in a corner kick in the 82
nd minute, then CC freshman Killian Cockran notched the first goal of his career in the 85
th minute off an assist from fellow freshman
Sam Block to cap the scoring.
"This was a very satisfying win for us today," said Richardson. "We had a quick pace the entire game with good passing and possession. It was also a nice opportunity to play some of our freshmen and it paid off with them getting a goal."
The Tigers outshot GFU 26-11 overall and 18-4 in shots on goal. Senior
Brandon Ogilvie led the Tigers with five shots. Junior
Tom Crosby did not have to make a save in the first half before giving way to junior
