Playing on April 1 for the first time since 1998, the Colorado College men's lacrosse team didn't fool around during a 28-1 victory at Millsaps College on Friday afternoon.

Carson Christman, Steve Rijo and Bart Cerf combined for 15 of the Tigers' first 17 goals to help CC post a school record for points in a single game and tie the program's mark for the largest margin of victory set during last year's 27-0 victory over Southwestern University.

Christman equaled his personal record of six goals, the last of which gave CC a 17-0 lead with 7:07 remaining in the first half. Rijo struck for a career-best five markers during the opening 19:29, while it took Cerf only 20:59 to post four goals, the first of which proved to be the first game winner of his career.

Hunter Stevison put the Majors on the board with a man-up goal with 3:50 remaining in the second period, but that was the only ball that got behind Zach Steedman. The first-year netminder finished three saves en route to his sixth victory of the season.

Eleven players scored for the Tigers, who got a pair of tallies from Charles Curtis, Jack Kreitler, and Chris Mahaney.

Michael Idell and Jake Satchwell each struck for their first two career goals during the second half, while Gordy Bullen found the net for the first time.

Colorado College launched a season-high 56 shots, 38 of which were on goal. Millsaps took a total of six shots.

Chris Hood made seven saves during the first three periods before giving way to Patrick Wagner, who stopped three shots in the final 15 minutes for the Majors. 

Buck McKenna won nine of 12 faceoffs and picked up a career-high 13 ground balls for the Tigers, while Will Ellis won all nine of his draws.

CC improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Millsaps dropped to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

Colorado College plays the last if its seven consecutive road games on Saturday morning against Southwestern.
