Southwestern edges Texas Lutheran 48-45

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Lauren Fulenwider made a three-point shot with 11 seconds to play to break a tie game as the Southwestern Pirates edged Texas Lutheran 48-45 Saturday at SU's Robertson Center.
 
TLU dropped to 3-3 overall and to 3-3 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Southwestern improved to 2-6 overall and to 2-6 in the SCAC.
 
TLU led 13-0 after the first quarter and 26-15 heading into halftime.
 
The Pirates out-scored TLU 33-19 in the second half, including 17-11 in the fourth quarter.
 
Fulenwider scored 12 for Southwestern. Noel Pratts led the Pirates with 18.
 
Jayla Santa Maria was the only Bulldog in double figures. She scored 15.
 
Sydney Shaw grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds for TLU.
 
Tanyse Moehrig chipped in eight points off the TLU bench.

TLU did not have a made free throw in the game. The Bulldogs were 0-for-2.
 
The Bulldogs return to action next Friday and Saturday with home games against the University of St. Thomas.
