Brendan Haas made a season-high 12 saves and the Colorado College defense surrendered fewer than six goals for the fifth time this season as the Tigers cruised to a 12-4 victory at The College of Wooster on Sunday.

After Dan MacVarish tied the game with 9:50 remaining in the first period, Haas stopped 11 consecutive shots during a span of 51:21 before Joe Suliman added a second goal for the Scots with just 3:29 remaining in the game.

Wooster native Chris Love put CC in front to stay 6:51 into the game and the Tigers added one score by Tony Cohen and a pair from Carson Christman to build a 5-1 lead after 15 minutes.

Christman's second tally with 1:44 to play proved to be his third game game-winning goal of the season and the fifth of his career.

The Tigers held Wooster scoreless on six extra-man opportunities, including four in a row during the final 15:41of the first half that gave the Scots a golden opportunity to cut into CC's four-goal lead.

Not only did Colorado College not permit a shot while a man down, Wooster was unable to generate a scoring chance with a two-man advantage and the Tigers padded their lead when James Mauk scored with one second remaining in the half.

The Tigers notched the only goals of the third stanza, one by Moses Taylor during the first 50 seconds a pair by Mauk, and then added three more during the first 5:27 of the fourth period to build a 12-1 lead.

Suliman, Casey McGann and Pat Coyne scored for the Scots during the final minutes to close out the scoring.

Christman paced the Tiger attack with three goals and an assist, while Mauk finished with three scores. Cohen recorded season-highs of two goals and four points.

Coyne, MacVarish and McGann each scored once and set up another for Wooster.

CC extended its winning streak to five games and improved to 7-1. The Scots slipped to 7-5.

Colorado College returns to Ohio for two more games next week, including a showdown with No. 10 Denison on Friday night in Granville, Ohio.
