Men's Soccer remained undefeated in conference play after their 2-0 victory over Centenary.
The Celts and the Gents would battle it out in the first half, but St. Thomas would be the aggressors, taking nine shots to Centenary's two. However, all of the Celts opportunities would wither away, and the match would head into halftime scoreless.
Just five minutes into the second half, Ian Alvarez would put the Celts on top, finding the back of the net for his third goal of the season. To close the door on the Gents, Gabe Salako would net a goal to extend the Celts lead to two in the 59th minute.
Defensively, St. Thomas would pick up their fourth clean sheet of the season. In goal, Rodrigo Lazo would record four saves en route to the shutout.
The Celts advance to 6-2-2 on the year and will return home October 15th for a conference bout with Texas Lutheran.
