Box Score McKenzee Gertz became the 14th player in the history of Colorado College women's basketball to record 1,000 points when she scored 16 during Friday night's 78-30 victory at Johnson & Wales University.

Gertz reached the milestone with a three-pointer from the left wing just 1:14 into the second quarter.

The junior winger is the first Tiger to join the 1,000-point club since Casey Torbet during the 2018-19 season. She finished the evening with 1,003 career points.

Gertz also became the 12th Tiger to record 1,000 career points and 500 rebounds.

She reached the 500-rebound mark during Colorado College's 81-46 victory at Centenary College on Dec. 29.

The outcome of the game was never in doubt after the Tigers built a 28-3 lead midway through the second quarter.

Three other players finished with double-digit points for CC

Tedy Reed recorded a season-high 18 points and six rebounds for the Tigers.

Jordan Meltzer recorded 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Talia Cloud finished with 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Colorado College improved to 9-5 overall and 5-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Wildcats dropped to 2-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
