The Lynx (1-1) came from behind against The University of the Ozarks to earn the first win of the season at home. The Lynx kicked off playing with high intensity and dominated the battle in the midfield anchored by Ben Owens, Andrew Roskos-Ewoldsen and Michael Rubin. The score at half time was 0-0. Just soon after the second half was underway, Tony Santoro put Ozarks up 1-0 in the 48th minute with a breakaway. The Rhodes Lynx responded immediately 3 minutes later with a low strike at the top of the box by Michael Rubin to equalize the match at 1-1. It didn't take very long for the Lynx to claim the lead with a superb free kick from 20 yards out in the 65th minute by Tyler Marshall. The University of Ozarks scored an equalizing goal in the 86th minute through Tony Santoro again assisted by Shaun Keane (2-2). It only took 47 seconds for the Lynx to take a 3-2 lead in the match with a well placed ball to the far post by Andrew Roskos-Ewoldsen beating keeper Neil Thompson. The Lynx defense played fantastic in the last 2 minutes of the second half to ensure the first victory of the season.
