Dallas Men Defeat Millsaps College, Guards Shine

The Dallas men's basketball team overcame a one point halftime deficit in picking up the 63-55 over the Millsaps College Majors in Irving, TX Tuesday night.

Leading the way for Dallas were three players with double figure point totals, including two seniors and a freshman. Senior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy) scored a team high 17 points while hauling down a team high 8 rebounds, and senior point guard Jeff Pritchard (Oak Grove, LA/Frisco H.S.) pitched in 11. The floor leader also dished out 3 assists, added 2 steals, and recorded 3 blocks to help complete the comeback. Freshman guard Zach Latimore (Misawa, Japan/Robert D. Edgren H.S.) rounded out the trio of high scorers with 12 points.

Overall, the team picked up their shooting in the second half to finish at a 37 percent clip from the field, including 47.4 percent in the final frame. The 3-2 Dallas men are off until Sunday, November 29 when they travel to Montgomery, AL to face Huntingdon College. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00pm.
