Box Score Senior defender James Iglehart enjoyed a career day at both ends of the field to help Colorado College cruise to a 27-2 victory over the University of Dallas on Sunday afternoon at Washburn Field.

Iglehart recorded career highs of five caused turnovers and five ground balls in the defensive zone as the Tigers held an opponent to fewer than five goals for the sixth time this season. He also figured prominently in the success of CC's man-down unit, which did not give up a goal in eight opportunities.

At the offensive end, Iglehart posted the first multiple-goal game of his career to help the Tigers post their largest offensive output a single game since a 28-0 victory over Oglethorpe University on April 8, 2011.
 
Colorado College also received an impressive performance from sophomore midfielder Sayre Thomas, who won all 11 of his faceoffs, scooped up a game-high 10 ground balls and set career highs with three goals, two assists and five points.
 
Freshman midfielder Ian Pelto, who also finished with five points, was one of four players who finished with three tallies. Junior midfielder Michael Idell and freshman attacker Robert Prior also found the net three times.

In all, fourteen Tigers scored at least one a goal while 18 recorded one or more points.

The final outcome was never in doubt after CC struck for 10 goals during the first period. The Tigers were leading 14-0 when the Crusaders got on the scoreboard with a tally by freshman midfielder Alex Ziolkowski with 9:24 remaining in the first half.

Freshman midfielder Matt Cyr added UD's second goal with 52 seconds to play to make the score 15-2 after 30 minutes.

Colorado College tacked on 12 markers in the second half, including man-down goals by freshman attacker Jacob Rockwell and Iglehart.

Freshman Chase Murphy earned the victory despite not having to make a save during the first period. Classmate Chris Maves stopped a pair of shots during 23:22 of playing time in the second and third quarters. Sophomore Jack Roos played the next 17:58, before giving way to senior Charles Curtis for the final 3:40.

Curtis made a pair of saves to go along with his two goals and an assist from earlier in the game.

Freshman Ryan Murphy stopped 25 shots for Dallas.

The Tigers finished with a 77-13 advantage in total shots and a 60-21 margin in ground balls. CC also won 27 of 33 faceoffs.

Colorado College, 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, will take a four-game winning streak into next Sunday's encounter with Southwestern University.
