The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team opened the season with a 27-0 win over Centenary (LA), Sunday afternoon in Georgetown, Texas.

Josh Schwartz had six goals and an assist to pace the MU attack while Sean McGuigan added four goals and two assists and Nick Santillo had four goals and an assist.

Kyle Calabro had two goals and two assists and Paul Lenhard added two goals and an assist.

J.R. Lauri and Mason Quickel both added two goals and Paul Stewart, Andrew Bath, Jeff Antonucci and Nick Kostik all scored a goal.

The Cougars led 5-0 after one period and broke the game open with 13 goals in the second period.

Misericordia held a 72-4 advantage in shots and held Centenary without a shot on goal.

MU will face Southwestern University, Wednesday night.
