Ryan Kell completed a three-point play with six seconds remaining to lift Colorado College to a 67-65 victory over Willamette University on Saturday night in the D3Hoops.com Classic at South Point Arena.
Kell was fouled by senior forward Kyle McNally while driving to the rim for the go-ahead basket, and then calmly sank the and-one to cap a furious comeback that saw the Tigers erase a nine-point deficit during the final 2:51.
After McNally made a pair of free throws to give the Bearcats a 62-53 lead, CC answered with five straight points on baskets by freshman guard
Eric Houska and junior forward
Mitch Carter, and a free throw by Kell to pull to within 62-58 with 1:25 to play.
Junior winger Bridger Harlington sank a pair at the charity stripe to extend Willamette's lead to six points, but Houska cut Colorado College's deficit in half on his only three-pointer of the game with 1:09 to go.

Juwan Rohan connected from long distance for the second time to pull the Tigers to within a point.
After a timeout, CC's defense forced a turnover by freshman guard Conin Oishi, setting up Kell's game-winning three-point play five seconds later. The senior guard finished with nine points and dished out a season-high four assists.
Junior winger
Luke Winfield recorded team highs of 12 points and six rebounds for the Tigers, who squared their record at 5-5.
Houska finished with seven points and a season-best five assists.
Freshman guard Brendon McCullough led Willamette with a game-high 22 points. McNally recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, while Harlington added 13 points for the Bearcats, who slipped to 2-7.
Colorado College opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with back-to-back games at Centenary College on Friday and Saturday night.
