SHREVEPORT, La. - Freshman
Tim Smith scored seven goals and added two assists as the unbeaten Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team cruised to a 28-2 win over Centenary College in Shreveport, La., on Monday, March 10.
In their first year as a varsity program, Illinois Wesleyan improved to 3-0 while the Gents fell to 0-4.
Michael Julius added five goals and
Tyler Rauwolf scored four goals with two assists. IWU had three players who had three goals -
Andrew Schreiber (three goals, one assist),
Evan Mok-Lamme (three goals, two assists) and
Colin Daly (three goals) - while
Jordan Gagnon had two goals with one assist and
Connor Coffey had a goal and an assist.
Max Porter,
Jacob Perry and
Adam Menendez each had one assist.
Illinois Wesleyan jumped out to a 13-0 lead after the first quarter, led 16-0 at half and had an 18-0 lead before Centenary's first goal.

Steven Laduzinsky played the first quarter,
Jordan Staley made two saves in the second quarter and
Ty Tuey made three saves in the final 30 minutes.
IWU dominated the ground ball statistic, collecting 55 to 30 for the Gents.
