In the singles competition, Gonzalez defeated de los Santos 6-3, 6-0 in flight two. Flight three saw UST's Alyssa Davila defeat Daniel by scores of 6-3, 1-6, and 6-3.

Gonzalez continued her winning ways into the afternoon when the team travel to Trinity, which is currently ranked No. 18 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division III poll. Gonzalez' 6-0, 6-4 win over Francesca Canjar was UST's lone win over the Tigers.

The Celts were scheduled to play Sunday at Concordia Texas in Austin, but rain forced the postponement of that match. UST is scheduled to return to the courts Saturday, Feb. 22, when the Celts are scheduled for a pair of matches in Abilene, Texas.
