Russell Kramer, 37, returned to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in July of 2018 and assumed the role of Associate Commissioner. In addition to his conference duties, he has served as President of the Division III Commissioners Association Assistants group for the past two years. 

Kramer, who worked at the SCAC office from 2008 to 2012, served for six years as the Assistant Executive Director of the North Coast Athletic Conference, a NCAA Division III conference based in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.

Kramer was hired as the SCAC Sports Information Assistant immediately following graduation from then league member, Oglethorpe University, where he was a four-year member of the soccer team and worked as a student assistant in the Petrels' Sports Information Office. He was promoted to Director of Communications and New Media the following year.

After his initial stint at the SCAC, Kramer spent six years as the Assistant Director of the North Coast Athletic Conference where he was the face and voice of the conference, telling the stories of countless coaches and student-athletes through his work overseeing the NCAC website, and creating graphics and posts for various publications and social media channels. Kramer created the NCAC podcast series, interviewing award winners, conference coaches and highlighting participants in conference and national championship events.

In addition to his coverage of North Coast teams, Kramer was also instrumental in the social media coverage around the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving championships, annually producing photos, videos and interviews of the individual swimmers and divers.
